"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

you dont SEEM like a bad person, despite what everyone is saying. if you didnt know the rules, you cant use someones art without permission. it will start an angry mob, then it will get you reported, and too many reports will get you kicked off of deviant art. just in case you didnt know.

I've been aware of that for a while. There's this guy who was on my case for something that I made and called me a fake even though I made it. So, to troll him I posted multiple pictures that weren't my art. The rest of the people who got mad at the picture just dragged themselves into something that they shouldn't have even been a part of ;D
O_O that really wasnt what you should have done though... i mean, in the end your the one in trouble right?
